Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2, 2026

Soulra ("Soulra", "we", "our", or "us") provides an astrology, tarot, and numerology application for iOS, together with related websites and services (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how and why we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have.

By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Use.

The data controller responsible for your personal data is the operator of Soulra, currently an individual operator (sole proprietor); contact privacy@soulra.app. We may transfer the Service and this controller role to a company or other legal entity we form or control, in which case that entity becomes the data controller (we will notify you where required).

1. Summary

Soulra is a personalized service. To create your charts, readings, and AI experiences, and to run our business, we collect a meaningful amount of data, including sensitive inputs such as your date, time, and place of birth, your gender, your mood logs, and the messages you send to our AI companion. We use trusted third parties (including Apple, Google/Firebase, AI providers, and RevenueCat) to provide the Service. We do not sell your personal data for money. Please read the full Policy below.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of data.

2.1 Account and identity data

2.2 Profile and birth data (used for astrology features)

2.3 Data about other people you add

2.4 Content you create and interact with

2.5 Purchase and subscription data

2.6 Device, technical, and usage data

2.7 Website data

We do not intentionally collect special-category data beyond what you choose to provide (for example, birth details and mood notes). Please do not enter information you do not want us to process.

3. How We Use Data

We use personal data for the following purposes.

Where required by law, we rely on the following legal bases (GDPR): performance of a contract (to provide the Service you request), your consent (for example, for certain analytics, marketing, push notifications, or processing of sensitive inputs, which you may withdraw at any time), our legitimate interests (to secure, operate, analyze, and improve the Service and our business, balanced against your rights), and compliance with legal obligations.

4. AI Processing (Important)

Several features rely on artificial intelligence and automated generation. To provide them, your inputs are sent from your device to our secure backend (Cloud Functions) and then to one or more third-party AI providers that generate the Content.

5. Third Parties We Share Data With

We share personal data with the following categories of service providers and partners, only as needed to operate the Service:

We may also disclose data: (a) to comply with law, legal process, or lawful governmental requests; (b) to enforce our Terms or protect the rights, safety, and security of Soulra, our users, or others; (c) to detect and prevent fraud or abuse; and (d) in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case data may be transferred to the successor entity (we will notify you where required).

We do not sell your personal data for money. Some analytics and advertising-related data sharing may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under certain US state laws; see Section 11 for your opt-out rights.

6. Where Data Is Stored and International Transfers

The Service is operated using cloud infrastructure (including Google/Firebase and AI providers) that may store and process data in the United States and other countries. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with data-transfer restrictions, your data may be transferred to countries that may not provide the same level of protection as your home country.

Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards where required, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms. You may contact us for more information about these safeguards.

7. Data Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest where provided by our infrastructure, access controls, owner-only database security rules, app integrity checks (App Check), and authentication. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your device and account credentials secure.

8. Data Retention
